POLICIES & PROCEDURES
PETS - During your booking process you able to add an additional $50.00 pet fee for a maximum of two animals up to 25 pounds each. We do not allow any animal over 25 pounds to enter our rental boat regardless of whether or not the pet fee has been applied. Any service animals are welcome.
GAS - We provide you with a full tank of gas when you embark. Upon your return, we fill the boat back to a full tank and charge the card on file for the gas used. We can use another payment method upon request.
LATE RETURN POLICY - We allow a 20 minutes grace period that begins the moment your reservation time has ended. Once you have exceeded that grace period we charge you a $75.00 late fee. Each additional 20 minutes that your reservation is late you will be charged the fee.
DOCKING POLICY - If you plan on docking at a private or residential dock at any time during your rental you must let us know the address of the dock. If you dock at a private dock without disclosing the address, your rental will be terminated without refund.
BEACHING - We do not allow you to beach the boat, bring it onto a bank, or run it aground under any circumstance. If you have brought the boat ashore or onto ground you will be charged a $100 fee in addition to any damages resulting from your actions.
MUD - If you track mud past the front or rear gates you will be charged a $100 cleaning fee.
WEATHER - Lake Chatuge Marina has the right to cancel any reservation in the event of hazardous weather conditions. In the event that you do not show up for your reservation because of weather conditions we do not deem hazardous, you will not be refunded for your rental. In addition, no refund will be promised once a rental has embarked on its voyage regardless of trip insurance. We do not guarantee that you will be notified of hazardous weather whilst on the lake. It is your responsibility to seek cover or return to the dock.
HOURS OF OPERATION FOR MULTI DAY RENTAL - We do not permit renters to operate boats after dusk or before dawn. If we see a rental boat out past dark we will have to cancel the remainder of your reservation and you will not be compensated.
TRIP INSURANCE - Trip insurance does not cover damages done to vessel and only protects you in the event of a cancelation up to the minute of the reservation time.
TOWABLES - This includes any tubes or additional towable water sport equipment. Our tow bars and tubes are not designed to hold any more than 340 pounds. If any damages resulting from towing excessive weight occur you will be charged to fix or replace damages. You must have a party of at least 3 members, two of those must be adults to follow proper spotter guidelines. In addition our tubes should only be pulled at a speed between 15-20 miles per hour. All individuals riding a towable, regardless of age must wear a sport life jacket. No renter will be permitted under any circumstance to have more than one towable on board at a time. If we see any misuse of a towable throughout the day, your reservation will be terminated without refund.
Customer provided towables must be rated for 2 persons or less and in proper working order. We only allow two persons or less up to 340lbs to be towed behind our boats.
LIFE JACKETS - All Children 12 or under must wear a life jacket as soon as they step foot onto our dock and are not permitted to take the life jacket off until they have stepped off the dock. Georgia law states children 12 or under much wear a life jacket at all times on the vessel.
NON ESSENTIAL EQUIPTMENT - We work tirelessly to ensure that our boats are maintained properly and that all non-essential equipment is functioning properly on the boat, however, we do not grantee it will not malfunction, nor do we provide refunds or credit if any non essential equipment such as radio, speakers, GPS etc. is not working properly.
